R evolution by Time Kulture launched with much fanfare at the Centre Court of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on July 6, with more than 150 guests and friends of the brand who attended the invite-only launch party. The fourth instalment of Swiss Watch Gallery’s signature watch showcase runs until July 16.
The theme this year, Revolution, celebrates contemporary watchmaking, which defies convention and embraces technology and innovation. The Centre Court of Pavilion KL has been transformed into a temple of concrete, steel and neon lights, with the eight watch brands — Bell & Ross, Graham, Longines, Maurice Lacroix, Oris, TAG Heuer, Tissot and Tudor — housed in dedicated booths. On display are the brands’ timepiece collections that were unveiled earlier this year at the Baselworld fair in Switzerland.
At the launch party, the first guests started arriving even before the 7pm call time, no doubt eager to check out and experience all that Revolution by Time Kulture had to offer. Among the guests were three Friends of Swiss Watch Gallery: Malaysian hip-hop artiste and entrepreneur Joe Flizzow, chef extraordinaire Isadora Chai, and fitness guru Hansen Lee. These trailblazing individuals have charted their own revolutionary paths in their chosen fields, and we are proud to have them associated with Swiss Watch Gallery.
The watch collections from the eight brands were not the only eye-catching objects vying for one’s attention. BMW Malaysia had on display its new M4 Coupe, an uncompromising performance car that personifies the perfect fusion of premium racetrack power and capability with everyday practicality.
Guests savoured delicious canapes and desserts prepared by Quivo, which also served up a smoked cocktail made with Glen Grant single malt whisky. Red and white wines were also offered, alongside refreshing bottles of Heineken beer, as well as Strongbow cider. Those in need of a pick-me-up made a pit-stop at the Nespresso bar, which is serving espresso drinks throughout the duration of Time Kulture.
Valiram CEO Julian Levy officially launched Revolution by Time Kulture with the pull of a lever to rousing cheers and applause. Joe Flizzow then took to the stage and got the audience going with a loud and energetic performance of his hit songs, including the iconic Apa Khabar. Joe also performed his first English single, which will be released soon. From the enthusiastic response elicited from the audience, the song is sure to be a smash hit.
The merrymaking carried on well into the evening to the soundtrack of DJ Patricia K’s pulsating sets.
