S wiss Watch Gallery and Rolex announced the inauguration of the first in-airport Rolex Boutique in Australia. Located within the new Luxe Promenade retail precinct, airside at Sydney International Airport Terminal 1, the new store measures a generous 130 square metres and features a striking double-height 8 metre façade.
The new store promises to offer Australian residents and visitors alike a stylish setting to showcase the elegance of the watches, featuring the luxurious Rolex aesthetic that is synonymous with the brand, including warm walnut timber, brushed and polished bronze surfaces and plush leather upholstery.
Upon entering the boutique, the visitor is enveloped into an atmosphere inspired by the sea, a reference to the Oyster, the world’s first waterproof wristwatch invented by Rolex in 1926. Rolex’s crown signature is celebrated throughout the interior in a stucco pattern on a feature wall.
The new boutique is a debut for Swiss Watch Gallery who will be retailing the Rolex brand in Australia for the first time, complementing the six existing stand-alone Rolex Boutiques it currently operates across Singapore and Malaysia.
“We are thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with Rolex. Our relationship with the highly regarded Swiss watchmaking’s crown jewel is 10 years old and going strong, a testament to the trust and confidence in our collaboration,” says Ashvin Valiram, Executive Director of Valiram, which owns Swiss Watch Gallery. “Our first watch boutique in Australia has grown from our successful business partnership with Rolex in Malaysia and Singapore. It is the result of a continuous evolution that began when we opened the largest Rolex Boutique in Southeast Asia in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. We look forward to greater opportunities together ahead.”
